Eighteen years after filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, one star looks unrecognisable with a new haircut. Katie Leung is now 35, but when she was 17 years old she was cast as Cho Chang, Harry Potter's first love interest.

Katie, from Dundee in Scotland, landed the role thousands of girls wanted and continues to act today. She recently shared some pictures on Instagram from the TV series she is currently starring in, The Peripheral on Amazon Prime, and Harry Potter fans will struggle to recognise her.

As Maria Anathema Ash, Katie sports a striking, short haircut and looks bada** - in the words of some of the fans in the comments - in a plunging black top. The actress looks worlds away from the quiet student who Harry Potter asked out to the Yule Ball.

Fans loved the sneak peak at the new series. One commented: "Hello specifically to that haircut."

Another said: "Ohh you look bada**" But a third said she was "the same old Cho for us". Beyond Harry Potter, Katie is known for her role as Caitlyn in Arcane and for starring alongside Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan in The Foreigner. She also appeared in T2 Trainspotting as a nurse.

Her Harry Potter character, Cho Chang, was a fierce Ravenclaw who was Harry's first love interest. They famously shared a kiss together in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. However their romance was short lived, as in the next film the Boy Who Lived becamed enamoured with his best friend's sister, Ginny Weasley.
