Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, professionally known as Halsey, is an American singer-songwriter. Halsey is an anagram of her real name, as well as being a name of a street in Brooklyn where she spent a lot of her time as a teenager. After gaining a considerable amount of attention online after posting an original song to SoundCloud, she signed to Astralwerks in 2014 and released her debut EP, Room 93, the same year.
